The Association of Roma in Poland (SRwP) works to improve the social and economic status of Roma, cooperating with municipal and regional social welfare agencies and mediating in conflicts between Roma and administrative or legal institutions. SRwP monitors and studies the education of Romani children and the role of Roma in the Polish economy. The Association participates in career activation programs (workshops and courses), and organizes educational and health activities. Above all, SRwP strives for fuller participation of Roma in Polish society and for protection of their minority rights. Through its activities the Association spreads knowledge about the culture and history of the Roma. It organizes exhibits and observances, compiles archives dedicated to the Romani holocaust, and publishes materials on Romani topics as well as the quarterly Dialog-Pheniben.
