CADRE Consortium for Appropriate Dispute Resolution in Special Education www.directionservice.org/cadre/index.cfm
Funded by the United States Department of Education, CADRE encourages teachers, parents and individuals involved in special education to use the presented methods of dispute resolution. In addition to providing technical assistance and collecting information about special education units, CADRE shares knowledge, based on research and case study analyses, about dispute resolution in special education. The suggested methods help prevent and resolve disputes and are intended to create productive partnerships focused on the results of working with disabled children and youth.

The CADRE website contains extensive information and suggestions for dealing with problematic situations, from informal practices to institutional processes. Many of the described methods are available in traditional, downloadable and multimedia formats.
