American Arbitration Association www.adr.org
The American Arbitration Association has been in existence for 75 years. It aims to promote out-of-court settlement procedures, or ADR (alternative dispute resolution). The organization brings together about 8,000 carefully selected legal experts specializing in many areas including healthcare, labor unions, industry, financial services and international trade. Its experts perform mediation and sit on arbitration commissions. All services are fee-based. The Association also serves an educational role, popularizing ADR methods. It organizes seminars, conferences, and training in ADR procedures for courts, government institutions, corporations, law firms and labor unions.

The majority of published literature is available by subscription only. The organization has an extensive fee-based library of 25,000 publications about ADR.
