The Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue aims to foster dialogue between conflicting parties and to reach peaceful resolutions. Through its work the Centre projects itself as a trustworthy, well-informed organization that acts with discretion. It deals with existing and potential conflicts and proposes appropriate solutions. The website includes an independent forum allowing the exchange of practical information, as well as descriptions of all current projects. The Centre is funded by governments, institutions, private individuals, and organizations such as the Red Cross.
