The Peace and Justice Studies Association (PJSA) was established in 2001 through the merger of the Consortium on Peace Research, Education and Development (COPRED) and the Peace Studies Association (PSA). PJSA is a forum for cooperation between academics, teachers and local activists in studying ways to combat violence and social injustice, resolve conflict peacefully, and plan strategies for social change.
The mission is realized by promoting peace studies in academic institutes, networking and exchanging information among teachers, students, and people who deal with conflict resolution and peace maintenance in practice. The organization also develops campaigns and lobbying projects.
The website contains descriptions of projects and campaigns, a collection of links to all sorts of institutions and organizations related to the activities of the PJSA, online publications, databases, research findings, specific initiatives and projects, as well as job and volunteer opportunities. The site includes publication order forms, and a discussion forum (requires registration).
