Slough Refugee Support (SRS) was created in 1997 to provide holistic care for refugees and asylum seekers in Slough. The organization helps newcomers adjust to their new situation and informs them of their rights. SRS runs centers where it provides legal advice and support in the areas of education, welfare, housing, medical care, asylum procedures and employment. Together with other organizations, SRS conducts a campaign to raise public awareness of the situation of refugees in Great Britain. SRS also runs English classes and meetings for young mothers.
