The Association of Polish Roma (ZRP) was created in Szczecinek, Poland, in 2001. Its operations cover the Romani community in Zachodniopomorskie Province, northwest Poland. The Association promotes Romani language, culture and traditions, and strengthens ties between members of the Romani minority. The Association of Polish Roma cooperates with governmental institutions, other Romani organizations, and other ethnic minority organizations. It calls attention to problems faced by the Romani community, runs cultural activities, promotes Romani music, and organizes and supports performances of Romani ensembles such as Szatra and Fabio. |
