The Movement was created in 1949 to defend human rights and counteract racism. It is a French organization with a well-developed local structure. In the last few years it has focused on the issues of immigration and the problem of racism in French political life.
The web page includes a detailed presentation of the movement, its local committees, descriptions of local campaigns, useful links to similar organizations, and self-tests on racism.
