Global Information Networks in Education (GINIE) www.ginie.org
GINIE serves as a "virtual educational community" for education innovation in nations in crisis and transition. It was created in response to the need for quick and easy access to information on current research and academic achievements in the field. It allows exchange of experiences and cooperation between education policy-makers, donor/investors, researchers and practitioners at the international as well as local level. The GINIE network contains links to documents, GINIE partners and websites of organizations concerned with similar issues, programs facilitating data transfer, and online conferences. The main areas of focus include the following: 1. policy - planning and evaluation; 2. teaching and learning; 3. access, equity and diversity; and 4. workforce education and community economic development.
