The European Ombudsman deals only with cases concerning improper administration in institutions and organs of the European Union. Its jurisdiction excludes the Court of Justice and the Court of First Instance. Within its responsibilities and powers, the Ombudsman investigates at its own initiative or on the basis of citizen complaints.
The website provides a complaint form, as well as specific information about the Ombudsman’s activities, speeches and reports.
